The "Guide" on Guiddy is a qualified and certified professional who accompanies groups during hikes, providing not only logistical and safety support but also technical and cultural information about the route and the surrounding environment. Guides have specific training and are recognized by the competent authorities, which enables them to lead hikes in mountains and other natural environments safely. Unlike Coordinators, Guides are responsible for managing complex or emergency situations during the hike. They can also offer in-depth explanations on geological, botanical, historical, and cultural aspects of the area, thus enriching the participants' experience.

"Guidders" on Guiddy are the participants of the organized hikes. Enthusiasts of mountains and nature, Guidders are part of a community that shares the experience of hiking by following the instructions of Coordinators or Guides. As members of the community, Guidders contribute to the success of the hike by collaborating with other members and respecting the rules and recommendations to ensure safety and fun for everyone.

The "Coordinator" on Guiddy is a reference figure who organizes and manages the hikes, ensuring a pleasant and safe experience for all participants. Coordinators are mountain enthusiasts with experience in organizing outdoor activities. Although they are not alpine or hiking guides, Coordinators have a deep knowledge of the proposed routes, which they have already explored individually or with other groups. However, Coordinators do not possess the technical expertise of a professional guide and are therefore not required to provide detailed technical information about the route or surrounding environment. Their main role is to support the group, provide logistical guidance, and ensure the hike runs in a coordinated and safe manner.

If you cannot attend, please notify us as soon as possible via WhatsApp at the number

You are entitled to a refund if you cancel your participation

These deadlines vary depending on the type of excursion, so it's important to carefully check the cancellation conditions at the time of registration.

Make sure to respect the stated deadlines to benefit from free cancellation and obtain a refund.

In the case of free cancellation, we offer you two options:

A credit of equal value – in this case, you will receive a €20 credit usable on our website within 12 months. You can use this credit to register for the same excursion or any other listed on our site. If you choose an excursion with a lower value, the remaining credit will stay available for future bookings. If you choose an excursion with a higher value, you will be asked to pay the difference.

If the excursion is canceled by us, you will be promptly informed and offered a credit of equal value

The replacement excursion may be of equal or different value. If the selected excursion has a lower price, the difference will be credited for future bookings. Conversely, if the selected excursion has a higher price, you will be asked to pay the difference.

After completing your registration, a few days before the excursion (usually 2 or 3 days before), a group is created

This group allows you to stay updated and interact with other Guidders.

It's not mandatory but strongly recommended, as it’s also necessary to interact and communicate with other participants in the dedicated group for the excursion. Inside the group, you can communicate with the trip leader (coordinator or guide, see GLOSSARY) and other Guidders, receive important event updates, and organize details like car sharing and exact meeting time.

If I signed up on behalf of friends, do they all need to have Telegram to participate?

No, it’s not necessary for all your friends to have Telegram. It’s enough that you, the person who registered, have access to the group and receive all communications.

Yes, it’s possible to receive updates via WhatsApp, but in this case, you won’t be added to the group with other participants.

No, downloading Telegram is easy and free. It also protects your privacy since it doesn’t share your phone number with other group members.

To reduce environmental impact, at Guiddy we promote car sharing whenever possible to reduce the number of cars needed to reach the meeting point and to help those without a car participate in our excursions.

In the Telegram group dedicated to the excursion, the trip leader may ask if anyone is interested in car sharing and help coordinate the Guidders. However, the trip leader is not obligated to offer their own car—it’s a voluntary gesture that can also be made by other Guidders.

Usually, intermediate meeting points are chosen so that drivers don’t have to pick up everyone directly at their home. This approach makes organization easier and contributes to a more sustainable experience for everyone.

Also, it’s a kind gesture to share fuel and/or parking costs with the driver, helping to ensure a fair and collaborative trip.

It’s rare that excursion meeting points can be reached directly by public transport.
