The experience

There are places that seem suspended in time, where nature meets history in an almost perfect way. Rocca d'Olgisio is one of them.

Starting from the quiet Val Chiarone, we will venture into a wild and uncrowded environment, among paths immersed in greenery, panoramic views, and the constant sound of nature around us.

Step by step, the landscape opens up and reveals our destination: Rocca d'Olgisio, with its unmistakable profile dominating the valley.

Built on a rocky spur and surrounded by a suggestive atmosphere, the fortress fascinates with its strategic position and the stories it seems to hold within its walls.

Reaching it on foot gives a unique satisfaction, made even more intense by the beauty of the natural context that surrounds it.

But that's not all: in its surroundings are hidden two small caves, intimate and somewhat mysterious places that we will explore during the excursion, adding a touch of discovery and adventure to the experience.

This excursion is perfect for those who love to discover lesser-known corners, away from the most beaten paths, without giving up on panoramic views and a touch of historical charm.

And to end the day in the best way, there will be the possibility of stopping together for a well-deserved snack in a trattoria: a convivial moment to relax, share the experience, and savor the flavors of the territory.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Paolo, an environmental hiking guide, and nature is my habitat: I like discovering every fold of it, respecting it and training in its silence to unplug from a life that's often hectic. A lifelong sports enthusiast, I've raced triathlon and made entirely self-supported journeys on foot and by bike in Morocco, Ladakh, Corsica, Croatia, Cuba, Iceland, Namibia, Laos, Patagonia, Menorca, the Canaries and Poland: each one left its mark. In 2016 I ran the route from Riccione to Livorno alongside ultrarunner Stefano Gregoretti and, the same year, I designed and organised the Crete Unsupported Lonely Triathlon: a solo, fully self-supported triathlon around the whole perimeter of Crete, the place closest to my heart. From 2018 to 2021 I was an instructor with Ginnastica Dinamica Militare Italiana. All of that is good for one thing: knowing how much you can ask of a group, and when to stop. 🥾 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
