Venice Between Water and Tradition: urban trekking through hidden districts
Venice Urban Trekking
Venice isn't just St. Mark's Square: it's narrow calli, merchant stories and secrets whispered between the sestieri. With this urban trekking you'll walk off the beaten path, discovering how Venetians have lived on water for centuries.
The experience
Starting from Santa Lucia Station, you'll cross the Jewish Ghetto, with its unusually tall houses born from limited space. Find the narrowest calle in the city (53 cm!), discover the Lazzaretti and their role in ancient quarantines, reach the towers of the Arsenale, once the largest shipyard of its time. Packed lunch break in a quiet square with a classic "ombra" at a bacaro, then back towards Rialto along the historic trade route, ending with a final toast near the station.
Why join us: - A simple, linear route suitable for everyone - Stories and curiosities away from mass tourism - Lunch break and "ombra" ritual among locals - A great finale with one last toast
Come discover the real Venice together with the Guidders, through history, water and local flavors.
