Un riferimento imprescindibile per chi visita la Valsesia. Otro rappresenta una pietra miliare nella storia della Valle, essendo stata una piccola comunità Walser, il popolo che migrò dal nord attraverso le montagne, per insediarsi in queste incantevoli zone montane. La bellezza dei boschi lungo il percorso, il panorama su Alagna Valsesia e le caratteristiche case di legno del borgo rendono questo tour davvero speciale. Su prenotazione, potremo gustare un pasto al Rifugio Zar Senni. Un’escursione adatta a gambe allenate alla salita, ma che ripaga di tutta la fatica con i suoi paesaggi mozzafiato e la sua atmosfera unica. Quindi cosa aspetti? Io ti aspetto!

HOW TO GET THERE

Once the cars are parked, we will have a short briefing to get to know each other and explain today's route.

From here we set off on a long traverse that takes us out of the village to begin the climb towards Otro

Walser Fountain
Here, at the fountain, the Walser families used to leave a mark, but I'll explain this on site

We finally arrive at our destination. The village is truly special, one of a kind. The perfectly preserved Walser houses make us reflect on who this Germanic people were. Here, by reservation, we can eat at Rifugio Zar Senni or have a packed lunch, depending a bit on the weather

We visit another hamlet of Otro by going down to the low path

Low Path
The Low Path brings us back to the Walser fountain we admired in the morning. From here, we will descend to the centre of Alagna, which we will explore by strolling through its old narrow streets, until we reach the car park where our route will end. A greeting and a hug to our new walking friends, and we'll see you at the next adventure!
