The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Bonassola and climb through paths and Mediterranean scrub to Monte Rossola, one of the finest natural balconies on the Riviera di Levante: from up there the eye takes in Bonassola, Framura, Levanto and the whole line of the coast. The return closes the loop by the Passo del Colletto and the hamlet of San Giorgio, getting us back in time for a swim.

We kick things off right from sea level in Bonassola! The initial stretch gently guides you out of town and onto the trail that winds its way inland. You'll immediately feel the invigorating contrast between the sea and the ascent. We recommend arriving by train.

Mount Rossola: Conquer this Classic Peak!
The most spectacular highlight of the hike. Mount Rossola offers incredible views of the entire Ligurian coast.

Loop hike via the Colletto Pass
"For the return leg, we'll complete a loop, first passing by Rocca Gaibana and then reaching the Colletto Pass."

San Giorgio Hamlet
Our loop trail leads you to the picturesque village of San Giorgio, a charming cluster of colorful houses huddled together, adorned with traditional stone porticos.

Back to Bonassola in time for a swim in the sea!
The return journey is a delight, allowing you to soak in the coastal views right up to the end. We'll head straight to the beach to celebrate a fantastic day together!
