WHY THIS HIKE

Trekking to Mount Tagliaferro (2964 m) from Rima – a classic panoramic route in Valsesia

Mount Tagliaferro is one of the most iconic mountains in Valsesia. Its elegant, pyramidal shape dominates the valley and is considered one of the most spectacular climbs in the entire area.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

The ascent from Rima San Giuseppe is a very rewarding route, long and challenging, classified as EE (Experienced Hikers) due to the significant elevation gain and some more exposed sections.

The trail crosses ancient Walser pastures and increasingly harsh alpine environments, until reaching the final ridge that leads to the summit.

From the summit of Tagliaferro, the spectacle is absolute: before your eyes opens one of the closest and most impressive views of the east face of Monte Rosa, with glaciers, seracs and peaks over 4000 meters dominating the horizon.

A trek that gives you the feeling of truly entering the heart of the high mountains.

And experiencing it together with the Guidders community makes every step even more epic.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Stefano, an environmental hiking guide, and I've always had a deep bond with the mountains. From a young age I found in trails, woods and summits a place of freedom, discovery and connection with nature. Over time that passion turned into something more: the wish to share it. Today I take out people of every age and level to discover mountain country, passing on not only technical and safety knowledge but also respect for the environment and the pleasure of moving slowly, in tune with what's around us. I believe walking in the mountains isn't just physical activity: it's an experience that enriches whoever lives it, helping you find your own inner rhythm again and look at the world with new eyes. 🥾 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
