The experience

We set off with the Guidders from the small hamlet of Lemna, set in woodland above the lake, and climb among chestnut and beech in quiet country. The climb leads to one of the most distinctive points on the route, the Pizzo dell'Asino, and then to the summit of Monte Palanzone, with spectacular views over Lake Como and the Lombard pre-Alps. We eat with a view and return by way of the Alpe di Lemna.
