WHY THIS HIKE

The sanctuary of Madonna della Corona

Fifteen hundred steps up to a church in the rock.

Group chat a couple of days before

The experience

Step after step, with short pauses here and there, you climb the more than fifteen hundred stairs leading from Brentino Belluno to the sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona. The church is famous for being set into the rock face, suspended above the Adige valley. The walk is made almost entirely of steps, with the twelve stations of the way marking the climb: believer or not, the effect is the same.

5 reasons to come - the sanctuary set into the rock face - the fifteen hundred steps of the climb - the twelve stations marking the way - the Adige valley opening below - a place that strikes anyone, whatever they believe

Who it suits The climb is almost entirely on steps: some fitness is needed, but nothing technical.

A place that stays with you: come and see it with the Guidders.

Originally from Puglia, but now a Cremona local, I was born and raised on the plains! I discovered my love for trekking later in life, but I've been hiking regularly since 2019. My passion and desire to have fun with others quickly led me to volunteer as a "sweeper" and, thanks to my cheerful nature, a bit of an "entertainer" within trekking groups. Now, instead of bringing up the rear, I'd love to lead the way! That's why in 2024, I also earned my trekking instructor certification, which qualifies me to coordinate small groups. And who knows what the future holds...
