There is a time of year when the Valmalenco transforms: Lago Palù, wrapped in snow and the silence of the woods, becomes a small paradise suspended in time. We walk with the Guidders among snow-covered larches and glittering views, the path climbing gently to the lake, dressed in ice and light. At Rifugio Palù you take everything off, sit down and eat in the warmth.

Reaching Rifugio Palù, you'll be enveloped by the warmth of the wood fire and the enticing aromas of mountain cuisine. Steaming polenta, local cheeses, and homemade desserts – the perfect way to refuel after a great hike!
