In cima al Monte Tagliaferro
At the top of Monte Tagliaferro
A rocky summit facing Monte Rosa.
The experience
Monte Tagliaferro is a rocky summit in the Pennine Alps, between the upper Valsesia and the Val Sermenza. From the top the view ranges across the Po plain and above all onto Monte Rosa, which stands opposite in its full majesty: one of the most direct views of the massif you can get. The normal route up demands respect, for its steepness and exposure, but it repays like few others.
5 reasons to come - Monte Rosa opposite, at its full height - a rocky summit that gives nothing away - the view as far as the Po plain - the upper Valsesia and the Val Sermenza on either side - the satisfaction of a demanding normal route
Who it suits The normal route is steep and exposed: good fitness, a sure step and a head for heights.
A summit you earn: come and take it with the Guidders.
