HOW TO GET THERE
10:00PARKING
Meet-up and trek departure
The meeting point will be in Teruzzi di Morfasso (PC), where we'll be able to leave our cars.
11:30SUMMIT
Monte Menegosa
After following a beautiful trail through the beech forest, we'll climb our first peak, Monte Menegosa. The summit is rugged and bare, with dark, jagged rocks (we're standing on ophiolite, an ancient submarine volcanic rock), and the view stretches from the Po Valley all the way to the sea.
13:00SUMMIT
Monte Lama
After taking in the views from the summit of Monte Menegosa, we'll begin our descent along a rocky trail (this section requires extra care, as it involves about 300 metres of rock to be tackled with a steady step), before heading back into the woods and then facing the steep climb up to Monte Lama. We'll settle down on the grass for our packed lunch, and if it's the right season, we might even spot the local Bardigiano horses grazing nearby.
14:30HIKING TRAIL
Final stretch and return to base
After a rest, we'll set off again, with the rest of the route all downhill from here.
15:00RETURN
Parking
Finally, we’ll make our way back to our cars. On the return journey, we can choose to stop along the way for a snack or a coffee together!

How do you get to Teruzzi? By carpooling.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Francesca, a geologist by training and an environmental hiking guide with AIGAE. For more than ten years I've also worked in environmental education, for adults and children, in schools, parks and museums. My job consists of trying to convince people that a rock is a genuine open book of natural history, and that the droppings of a wild animal can be BEAUTIFUL. When I'm not doing science outreach or leading hikes, I'm probably working out whether a spider could be my new best friend (by talking to it, obviously). My life is a mix of salami sandwiches eaten in the woods and "wow, look at this beetle, it's stunning!" — because, let's be honest, what could possibly be better? See you in the mountains, Guidders!
