Cima della Laurasca: Autumn Loop above Malesco

Description
A loop that climbs past old lime kilns and comes down through autumn colors.
We set off with the Guidders from Fondo Li Gabbi, where the Rifugio Laurasca marks the start of the day. The trail winds through the Val Loana plain, past woods glowing amber and copper in the fall, and by the Fornaci, old lime kilns brought back to life. We climb with the Guidders up to Alpe Scaredi, with its bivouac and mountain pools, then tackle the final stretch to the Cima della Laurasca, at 2138 meters, where the view opens onto the whole Val Vigezzo. The way down, on this loop route, brings us back in the golden afternoon light.
This trail is ancient: shepherds once used it to bring livestock up to the alpine pastures, and walking it today means following a real mountain path.
