The experience

The Pizzi di Parlasco offer a long crest between the Valico della Porta and the Passo di Agueglio. We set off with the Guidders from Cainallo and climb to the pass, then take the crest to Cima di Dasio, marked by a metal cross: along the way a few chains help on the more technical steps. From the crest the view is spectacular: San Defendente, Croce di Muggio, Legnoncino, the Legnone, the Grignone and, in the distance, Lake Como. The two flanks of the mountain are surprisingly different.

Parking is available above the Cainallo Refuge, with a daily pass costing €3.

Let's continue towards Cainallo Pass and then tackle the Crest Trail.
12:30SUMMIT
Dasio Peak
"We'll follow the ridges to the summit of Cima di Dasio, the highest point of our day!"
13:30PASS
Agueglio Pass
After lunch, we'll set off again towards the Agueglio Pass. Our trail traverses the grassy flank of the ridge, remaining relatively level. After a couple of kilometers, we'll descend through a beautiful beech forest towards the Agueglio Pass.

Back to the trailhead
"We'll complete the loop by following the trail back to Parlasco."
