Alpe Devero, the jewel of Piedmont

La magia dell’Alpe Devero. Un angolo di mondo racchiuso tra le Alpi Lepontine che preserva quel sapore di antico. Qui il tempo si è fermato, tutto profuma di epoche passate. Il popolo Walser si insediò e diede vita a questa colonia. Il verde è accecante e l’autunno dona quelle sfumature di giallo che rendono questo luogo unico. Scopriremo laghi abitati da streghe, architetture antiche e larici coloratissimi. Qui si respira la natura. L’escursione è di media difficoltà. percorreremo circa 12,5 km con 500 m. di dislivello in positivo. Visto queste temperature ballerine, consiglio un abbigliamento da montagna a strati. Scarpe da trekking con suola tassellata (obbligatorie). Pranzeremo al sacco, quindi consiglio di portarvi nello zaino del cibo e almeno 1 l d’acqua. HOW TO GET THERE

Alpe Devero
We'll set off from the beautiful Devero plain along the old trail to Crampiolo, which we'll leave towards the alpine pastures of Sangiatto, Corte di Cobernas, and Alpe Valle. From here we'll descend to Crampiolo, one of the most beautiful villages of Walser architecture in Alto Piemonte, then visit Lake delle Streghe and finally descend to the Devero plain to admire the village of Pedemonte - in short, a hike not to be missed.
