Sunrise on the hills, farm-fresh flavors: a circular hike from Barbaresco to Alba.
From Barbaresco to Alba
Dawn over the Langhe, and lunch at a farmhouse.
The experience
At first light the hills wake slowly: a thin mist brushes the vineyards and the sky turns pink. We set off with the Guidders from Barbaresco, a village set among the vines, with the historic tower standing against a still-pale sky. The walk follows paths between neat rows of vines, hazel woods and gravel tracks, passing the church of San Giovanni Battista and viewpoints where, on clear days, you can see Monviso. Then a visit to Alba.
