4-Day Trekking Tour in Marettimo, Egadi Islands

Four days on the wildest island in the Egadi.

With the Guidders we walk on Marettimo along old paths above the sea, through fragrant Mediterranean scrub and viewpoints hanging over the blue. We begin at the Castello di Punta Troia, perched above the harbour; then Monte Falcone, the island's highest point; then the Punta Libeccio lighthouse, where sunset arrives straight off the water; and finally the coves, for a last swim before heading home. The routes alternate mule tracks, rocky paths and panoramic traverses, with a few demanding sections but always rewarding ones. In the evening: the harbour, Sicilian cooking and the feel of an island with almost no cars.
