WHY THIS TREK

Weekend on Mont Blanc

Two days in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif.

Group chat before departure
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

Day 1, Val Ferret. We set off with the Guidders from Lavachey and climb to Rifugio Walter Bonatti, right below the Grandes Jorasses and facing the Fréboudze glacier. From there we join the spectacular Val Ferret balcony path, one of the finest stretches of the Tour du Mont Blanc, as far as Rifugio Elena and the Pré de Bar glacier.

Day 2, Val Veny. We switch sides of the massif. We reach Lago di Miage, held in the moraine landscape of its glacier, cross the wide Combal plain and carry on towards Rifugio Elisabetta, with the Col de la Seigne and the upper Val Veny glaciers ahead.

5 reasons to come - the Grandes Jorasses watching over you all of the first day - the Val Ferret balcony, a Tour du Mont Blanc classic - Lago di Miage in its amphitheatre of moraines - the two signature valleys of Courmayeur in one weekend - three historic mountain huts along the way

Who it suits Two full days on well-marked paths, for walkers in good shape. Nothing technical.

Mont Blanc from below is another thing altogether: come and walk it with the Guidders.
