The experience

Day 1. We set off with the Guidders from Champorcher for a snowshoe walk in the Mont Avic park, through snowy woods and silence. In the evening, for anyone who wants it, the thermal baths of Pré-Saint-Didier, and then a sociable evening in the valley.

Day 2. From Planpincieux, in the Val Ferret, we climb to Rifugio Bonatti, one of the most spectacular balconies facing Mont Blanc.

Step into the winter wonderland of Mont Avic Natural Park, one of the most enchanting landscapes in the Aosta Valley. We'll snowshoe through snow-laden fir and larch forests, across open valleys, and into profound silence, with breathtaking panoramic views gradually unfolding to reveal the majestic surrounding peaks. This snowshoe hike is a gentle progression, never overly technical, making it perfect for soaking in the scenery and enjoying the camaraderie of the group. At the end of our adventure, you'll have the option to unwind at the Pré-Saint-Didier thermal baths, relaxing in the warm pools with stunning mountain views. Alternatively, we'll transfer directly to Val Ferret/Courmayeur for rest and dinner. Distance: 10 km (6.2 miles) Elevation Gain: 700m (2300 feet) Duration: 6 hours (including breaks) Difficulty: WT2 (Easy Snowshoeing) Lunch: Packed lunch
