WHY THIS HIKE

Secret Venice

Venice isn't just St Mark's Square: it's a web of canals, tides and hidden stories you'll learn to read like a true Venetian today.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We start at Santa Lucia station to dive into the most authentic sestieri, from Santa Croce to San Polo, discovering monumental wellheads and the secrets of the foundations the city stands on. After a quick stop in San Marco seen from a new perspective, we pause for the true ombra and bacaro ritual, tasting seafood cicchetti in the most hidden bacari. The afternoon continues through Dorsoduro, the clash of currents at the Salute, and the last squeri where gondolas are still handmade. We close with a toast at the Ponte della Costituzione, at sunset.

Why join us: - discover the authentic Venice, away from the tourist routes - experience real cicchetti in historic bacari - walk through history, water and hidden craftsmanship - end the day with a toast in the lagoon at sunset

We're waiting for you with the other Guidders, ready to explore the truest soul of the Serenissima together.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Gianpaolo, an environmental hiking guide and tour leader: from Brianza originally, but long since at home in the province of Parma. My real home, though, is whatever trail I'm walking. I carry the mountains in my heart and a passion for long-distance routes in my backpack, and I don't have a favourite place: lacing up my boots and setting off is enough. What I enjoy most is sharing kilometres and feelings with whoever is walking beside me, because every outing is a journey and every group a new story to live step by step. The backpack is always ready. 🎒 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
