Sasso Bisòlo Valley: A loop trek in Val Masino amongst alpine pastures, tranquil landscapes, and authentic views.
The Sasso Bisòlo valley in Val Masino
The quieter face of the Val Masino.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders on a loop in the Valle di Sasso Bisòlo, a lesser-known corner of the Val Masino, often overshadowed by nearby Preda Rossa but with a gentle, silent atmosphere all its own. We pass the Baite Tajada, Rifugio Alpe Granda and the Casera Scermedone, then the Bivacco Scermedone and Alpe Corticelle: summer pastures, wide valleys and views that open step by step.
5 reasons to come - a corner of the Val Masino well off the beaten track - Rifugio Alpe Granda and the Bivacco Scermedone - the pastures of the Casera Scermedone - wide, silent valleys - a varied loop that never repeats the same view
Who it suits A loop on mountain paths: normal walking fitness and a sure step.
