WHY THIS HIKE

The wonderful Adamè Valley

The Adamè stairs, and then a valley that opens out.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Malga Lincino, in the heart of the Valle Adamè, and drop straight into the woods along the striking Scale dell'Adamè: stone steps climbing hard between hairpins and wooden railings. The first part is steep, but it offers ever-wider glimpses of the valley and the Concarena. Past the hardest stretch the route eases, passes the cableway of Rifugio Città di Lissone and a small lake, then runs through pasture and alongside the stream to Malga Adamè and Rifugio Baita Adamè.

5 reasons to come - the Scale dell'Adamè, steps cut into the rock - Rifugio Baita Adamè at the head of the valley - the stop at Rifugio Città di Lissone - the pastures and stream of the upper Valle Adamè - the view of the Concarena opening as you climb

Who it suits The first part is steep, then the route eases: some fitness and a sure step on the stone stairs.

A valley you have to earn: come and walk it with the Guidders.
