WHY THIS HIKE

Mount Altissimo from Croce di Salven

From the wild Val Sorda to open ridgelines.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from the Croce di Salven, above Borno, and follow paths 186 and 187 through cool woods, the clearings of Pratolungo and the genuine feel of Malga Guccione. We cross the wild Val Sorda, then the path alternates woodland with firmer climbs up to open crests, where the view widens onto Pizzo Camino, Cima Moren and the whole Valle Camonica, as far as the summit of Monte Altissimo.

5 reasons to come - the Val Sorda, wild and rarely walked - the summit of Monte Altissimo and its view - Pizzo Camino and Cima Moren opposite - Malga Guccione and the Pratolungo clearings - a route whose setting keeps changing

Who it suits Steady height gain and some steep sections: it asks for fitness, but there is nothing technical.

A summit that repays everything: come and earn it with the Guidders.
