WHY THIS TREK

Three days in Beigua Park

Three days where the mountains talk to the sea.

Group chat before departure
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

Day 1. We start from Cogoleto with salt still in the air and climb the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, following the divide that separates — and joins — the Alps and the Mediterranean, as far as Rifugio Pratorotondo. Day 2. From the Pratorotondo to Rifugio Argentea, across open, bright plateaus where the eye loses itself between sea and mountains. Day 3. From the Argentea down to Arenzano, closing the circle.

In the Beigua park alpine flora lives alongside Mediterranean scrub: it is a journey of genuine contrasts.

5 reasons to come - walking with the sea in sight the whole way - the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri along the watershed - two huts, one for each evening - the open plateaus of the Beigua - alpine flora and Mediterranean scrub in the same day

Who it suits Three consecutive days with real height gain: good fitness is needed, but nothing technical.

The Alps and the Mediterranean in the same stride: set off with the Guidders.

WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU GO
✓
BEFORE YOU GO
Train your legs with a loaded backpack in the weeks before: you've got 2 h a day for 3 days in a row ahead. Nights in mountain huts are short: those who go to bed early the night before start better
✓
IN YOUR BACKPACK
A light backpack for 3 days: a change of clothes, a sleeping bag liner for the hut, a water bottle and poles. Layers, a rain jacket, 1.5 litres of water and long trousers: it's tick season. Always with you: a plaster, an antiseptic wipe and a small bag for rubbish
