Think of Morocco and you see the souks. Here instead you walk the Yagour Plateau with a geologist reading you rock carvings three thousand years old, climb to the Ikkis gîte at 2,300 metres through villages of stone and earth, knead Berber bread in a clay oven, drink mint tea at almost 3,000 metres on the Rizi n'Ait Imi pass. Then you get lost in the alleys of Marrakech, between the El Bahia Palace, the hammam and the Majorelle gardens.

You sleep in traditional mountain gîtes and in a riad in Marrakech. September is the right month: mild up high, pleasant in the city. Eight days of trails, encounters and stories, shared with the Guidders.

Good to know

A valid passport is required. The flight is not included so you choose airport and airline: we meet in Marrakech at 1 pm on day one. Also not included: the geologist guide, activities in Marrakech and the workshops. No technical experience needed, but some fitness: the hikes have real ascent.
