The experience

Day 1. We set off with the Guidders from Pejo Fonti and climb towards the Doss dei Gembri, crossing alpine pastures, Great War trenches and wide rocky slopes, up to Rifugio Mantova al Vioz, where we spend the night suspended above the valleys.

Day 2. A dawn start for the summit of Monte Vioz, 3,645 metres, with the Ortles-Cevedale group and the Forni glacier all around. Then the descent.
