WHY THIS TREK

Lake and Rifugio Antermoia

One of the loveliest lakes in the Dolomites, and a night beside it.

Group chat before departure
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

Day 1. We set off with the Guidders from Campitello di Fassa and cross the Val Duron among pastures, barns and views of the Sassolungo and the Catinaccio. Gaining height beyond the Passo delle Ciaresole we reach Lago di Antermoia: clear water set between rock walls and dolomitic scree. The night is spent at Rifugio Antermoia, in high-mountain silence.

Day 2. We return by Rifugio Dona along a panoramic line back to Campitello.

5 reasons to come - Lago di Antermoia, among the finest in the Dolomites - the night at Rifugio Antermoia - the Val Duron, with its barns and pastures - the Sassolungo and the Catinaccio throughout the walk - the return by Rifugio Dona, on a different line

Who it suits Two days with a good deal of climbing, on well-marked paths and scree taken with a sure step.

A lake worth the climb, and a night to look at it properly: come with the Guidders.
