WHY THIS HIKE

Altopiano del Sole Trek

Autumn transforms the Altopiano del Sole into a picture of warm colors. Fir and larch woods glowing gold, afternoon light caressing the peaks: it's the perfect time to set off.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We start from Borno, a charming village nestled on the green plateau. A comfortable mule track leads us up through lush woods to the basin of Val di Lova and its alpine lake, a breathtaking sheet of water. From there, the trail climbs steadily toward the Pizzo Camino pastures, growing ever more scenic, up to Rifugio Laeng, perfect for a break with a view of the limestone walls. The loop continues around Monte Arano, amid stunning views, before descending back toward Lova and returning to Borno through the valley-floor woods.

Why join us: - Autumn foliage at its peak - An alpine lake that looks painted - Views of Pizzo Camino and Monte Arano - A pace suited for everyone, with a loop return

Join the Guidders: this is an adventure to experience together, not to watch from afar.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Matteo, a Mountain Hiking Guide (AMM). I love nature and astronomy, but honestly, I love sharing them with others even more. Since getting my AMM qualification, this has been my job: guiding people through nature, on foot or by bike. I also carry a passion for the night sky with me. With my outreach association, I run astronomy evenings, another way of looking at the mountains, this time from below looking up. What I love most is seeing people's faces the first time they discover a trail, a view or a constellation. I don't promise epic feats, just a good pace, a curious eye and a real love for telling the story of what's around us. Come with me and you'll go home with tired legs and eyes full of new things. 🏔️ See you in the mountains, Guidders!
