Description

A loop that smells of the true Dolomites: the Guidders start from Rifugio Valparola and cross open pastures all the way to the wild Vallone Pudres. The ascent leads over Dolomitic rock to the summit of Setsass, with views of the Marmolada and Sella. The return trip offers glimpses of Lake Valparola, the perfect way to end the day.

A loop hike through iconic Dolomitic scenery: you start on a trail through pastures, then enter Vallone Pudres with its rockier terrain and steep sections leading up to the summit of Setsass. Sweeping panoramic views of the Marmolada, Civetta, and Sella group. The descent follows a path below the south face down to Lake Valparola. Requires a sure foot and good physical fitness.

Guide

Alessandro

⛰ Hi! I'm Alessandro, 35 years old, and I live in the heart of the Dolomites, in Cadore. I'm a Mountain Hiking Leader (Collegio Guide Alpine del Veneto) and UIMLA member, with a degree in Sports Science, an MTB guide and... a sommelier too! Yes, because after a hike, a good glass of wine always hits the spot! I love experiencing the mountains in all their forms: from trekking to trail running, all the way to mountain biking adventures. For me, moving through nature is pure energy, discovery, emotion. Sharing all of this with people is my mission: whether it's on a scenic trail or through the woods on a bike, the goal is always the same — living authentic, active and rejuvenating experiences. See you on the trails... or maybe over a good glass of wine! 🍷🚵‍♂️🌲
