The experience

We set off in the afternoon, around 4:30 pm. As we climb, Lake Garda opens up below us, while the woods glow with autumn colors. We reach Punta Larici just in time to watch the sky turn gold, sack dinner in hand, endless views ahead. Then darkness falls slowly, the forest goes quiet, and we head back down with headlamps: the most adventurous part of the evening.
