Monte San Primo Trek: Scenic ridgelines and lake views in the Larian Triangle
The Monte San Primo ridges over the lake
The highest summit in the Larian Triangle, with the lake on every side.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the Colma di Sormano for a gradual, always panoramic climb towards Monte San Primo. The path runs through high pastures and open ridgelines, the eye constantly dropping onto the arms of Lake Como and the mountains around them. At the summit the view turns a full circle: the lake, the Grigne, the Alps and, on clear days, the plain as far as the Apennines.
5 reasons to come - the highest summit in the Larian Triangle - the arms of Lake Como beneath you throughout - open ridgelines, with nothing blocking the view - the Grigne and the Alps from the same top - a gradual climb, never brutal
Who it suits A gradual climb on well-marked paths: normal walking fitness, with nothing technical.
A view that leaves you speechless: come and take it with the Guidders.
