WHY THIS HIKE
Monte Due Mani from Ballabio
An intense loop hike leading to one of the most spectacular peaks above Lecco. Together with the Guidders, we’ll set off from Ballabio and climb towards Monte Due Mani through woods, past mountain huts and along a thrilling ridge. The final stretches offer adrenaline and sweeping views, right up to the summit with its cross and 360° views of the Lombardy mountains. A tough, authentic and hugely rewarding day. From the village of Ballabio, we’ll take trail 34, passing by the Baita di Bongio and the Bivacco Emanuela, immersed in a mountain setting rich with views of the Grigna and Valsassina. Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Paolo, a mid-mountain leader registered with the Collegio Regionale Guide Alpine Lombardia. With a degree in engineering, I live in Lecco, where I was born and raised on the slopes of Monte Resegone. I've always loved my city, squeezed between the lake and the mountains, for the landscapes it offers from every angle: from the top of its peaks or from the shore. Over the years, in my free time, I've taken up plenty of outdoor activities — trekking, cycling, canoeing, skiing — and raced in trail running and skyrunning events. A great passion for nature and for my own patch is what pushed me into guiding: sharing a love for the trails, the summits and the landscapes around Lecco is the part that gives me most satisfaction. ⛰ See you in the mountains, Guidders!
