Trekking to the stunning Lago della Vacca and Rifugio Tita Secchi: an excursion in the heart of the Adamello mountains
Lago della Vacca and Rifugio Tita Secchi
An alpine lake in the heart of the Adamello park.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Malga Cadino della Banca, in the Caffaro valley, following wide paths and old mule tracks through alpine pasture, where it is common to meet curious marmots and grazing herds. The objective is Lago della Vacca, with Rifugio Tita Secchi on its shore: one of the most striking spots in the Adamello park, closed in by rock walls.
5 reasons to come - Lago della Vacca and Rifugio Tita Secchi - marmots along the mule tracks - the wide spaces of the Adamello park - the open views of the Passo Crocedomini - genuine alpine country with no difficult passages
Who it suits No difficult technical passages, but the route asks for decent preparation.
A genuine Adamello trek: come with the Guidders.
