WHY THIS HIKE

Fund'Ekko Moraine

Today, Guidders will take you into the heart of Valsesia, one of the most fascinating Alpine valleys in Piedmont, at the foot of the majestic Monte Rosa. A scenic trek will lead us to Rifugio Pastore, through forests and high-altitude pastures, before reaching the spectacular Piana di Bors and Rifugio Crespi Calderini, surrounded by an Alpine landscape of extraordinary beauty.

The experience

This itinerary is not just a wonderful hike, but a true journey into the geological history of the Alps. Right here, millions of years ago, the immense force of the Monte Rosa glacier broke through the moraine that held back its advance, profoundly reshaping the landscape and leaving clear evidence of that ancient event still visible today. Walking through these places means reading, step by step, the story of the mountain carved by ice.

Along the route, we will be immersed in one of Piedmont’s most authentic valleys, where nature still dominates the landscape and where Walser tradition continues to tell the story of the deep bond between people and the high mountains. Among pastures, rushing streams, and spectacular views of the Monte Rosa massif, we will experience a day that is sure to amaze every Guidder.

Book your spot and come discover Valsesia with the Guidders: a trek full of breathtaking views, history, and atmospheres you will hardly forget.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Gilberto, an environmental hiking guide. They say happiness is only real when shared, and for me there's no greater joy than a view earned together. I take people to find the most genuine side of our trails, away from the rush and at footprint pace. I can't wait to share with you not only the walking, but the stories, the silences and — why not — a good piece of cheese at the top. Backpack on, we'll work out the rest as we go. Experience, care for safety and that pinch of adventure it takes to make an outing unforgettable: joining the next walk? 🧀 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
