From Foppolo, in the province of Bergamo, we head up with the Guidders toward Corno Stella, an iconic peak in the upper Brembana Valley. The hike begins on a mountain trail through alpine pastures and rocky scree, then becomes steeper as it continues through open high-mountain terrain, with sweeping views over the Orobie Alps, wild valleys, and border ridgelines. This trek is for those who truly love the high mountains: sure-footedness, good fitness, and care on uneven ground, steep sections, and the exposed summit are essential.
