WHY THIS HIKE

The low Grigne crossing in spring

The woods above Lecco as they wake up.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We set off with the Guidders from the Piani Resinelli on a panoramic route in the northern Grigna, inside the regional park, heading for Rifugio Pialeral. The path crosses bright beech woods, open clearings and panoramic stretches that give views over the Valsassina and the Grigne summits. In spring the air is different, the colours return and the mountain seems to start moving again: this is when these paths are at their best, with lunch at the hut to finish.

5 reasons to come - Rifugio Pialeral below the walls of the Grignone - beech woods waking up in spring - the view over the Valsassina and the Grigne - the northern Grigna regional park - lunch at the hut halfway through the day

Who it suits A panoramic route on well-marked paths: normal mountain walking fitness is enough.

The season of rebirth is only visible on foot: come with the Guidders.
