Presolana glows at sunset
Golden light on the spires of the Presolana.
The experience
The Presolana is not merely a mountain: it is an icon of the Orobie, with the vertical walls of its north side and the towers running away to the south, a massif with a dolomitic character. We set off with the Guidders from the Passo della Presolana, cross a first woodland section and reach Rifugio Baita Cassinelli, where the view opens onto the southern rampart. We climb to the Bivacco Città di Clusone and return to the hut for the aperitivo, just as the light turns golden.
5 reasons to come - sunset on the spires of the Presolana - the aperitivo at Rifugio Cassinelli - the Bivacco Città di Clusone along the circuit - the southern rampart opening all at once - the dolomitic character of the queen of the Orobie
Who it suits A climb on path with nothing technical: normal walking fitness is enough.
Spires, silence and golden light: come with the Guidders.
