Mount Bolettone and Mount Palanzone: A Sunset Training Hike
Bolettone and Palanzone, a sunset hike
Three summits, a steady pace and cake at the end.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from the Alpe del Vicerè and climb straight towards Monte Bolettone, on a path that offers continuous gradients from the very start: excellent training for anyone wanting to test themselves. From the first summit the view opens over Lake Como, the Grigne and the Brianza; then we carry on along the crest to Monte Palanzone and Monte Puscio. We finish at Rifugio Cacciatori, where lunch — and cake — are obligatory.
5 reasons to come - three summits in the same day - the panoramic crest between the Bolettone and the Palanzone - Lake Como and the Grigne from the first top - lunch (and cake) at Rifugio Cacciatori - a steady pace, genuine training
Who it suits Continuous gradients and serious height gain: this is a training hike, good fitness is needed.
Three summits and a slice of cake: come with the Guidders.
