Rifugio Tavecchia Trek in Val Biandino
Val Biandino:Tavecchia Mountain Hut
From the Valsassina up to high pasture, on a climb that gives nothing away.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Margno and climb to the Pian delle Betulle and then Rifugio Tavecchia, through woods and high pastures. The path climbs in earnest for long stretches and keeps changing: mule track, faint line through the trees, steep ground. Higher up it opens out and the view takes on another rhythm, with the Valsassina mountains all around. It is one of those climbs where every metre is earned, and you feel it.
5 reasons to come - the open view across the Valsassina - the Pian delle Betulle along the route - Rifugio Tavecchia, a solid objective - a path that keeps changing character - a climb that trains you and satisfies
Who it suits You need good stamina and a sure step: there are steep sections and the ground turns slippery when wet.
A proper climb above Margno: come and do it with the Guidders.
