The experience

We set off with the Guidders from Introbio, in the heart of the Valsassina, and climb through woods, old mule tracks and alpine pasture to Rifugio Tavecchia, one of the most characterful huts in the Lecco pre-Alps. The hut sits right at the foot of Pizzo dei Tre Signori, and from there the view opens across every mountain in the valley. It is the right place to stop for a long while, taste the house specialities and enjoy an atmosphere that still feels like the real mountains.
