Rifugio Bogani and Porta di Prada: Trekking in the Grigne Mountains among panoramic views and a natural rock arch.
Rifugio Bogani and the Porta di Prada
A rock arch looking out over the valleys.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Vo di Moncodeno and climb gradually through woods and pastures to the panoramic Rifugio Bogani. From there we carry on to the Bocchetta di Piancaformia and then the spectacular Porta di Prada: a natural rock arch looking out over the valleys, one of the symbols of the Grigne. The ground is even, with a few steeper sections but nothing technical, and the circuit closes as a loop.
5 reasons to come - the Porta di Prada, a natural rock arch - Rifugio Bogani, panoramic and welcoming - the Bocchetta di Piancaformia along the route - an accessible loop in the heart of the Grigne - pastures and woods alternating throughout
Who it suits A gradual climb with a few steeper but never technical sections: normal walking fitness is enough.
