Rifugio Biella alla Croda del Becco: un balcone su Braies
Rifugio Biella above Braies
Lake Braies seen from above, without the crowds.
The experience
Braies is one of the most photographed lakes in the Dolomites and in summer its shore is packed. We look at it from an exclusive spot: from the Croda del Becco, or rather from Rifugio Biella, which overlooks the lake like a balcony. We start at Sant'Uberto, just below Rifugio Malga Ra Stua, on an easy mule track that leads all the way to the hut.
5 reasons to come - Lake Braies seen from above, away from the crowds - Rifugio Biella, a balcony over the basin - the Croda del Becco and its walls - the stop at Rifugio Malga Ra Stua - an easy mule track the whole way
Who it suits An easy mule track, but a long one: some fitness is needed.
