Punta Almana and its breathtaking views of Lake Iseo.
Punta Almana over Lake Iseo
Sharp crests, with the lake always below.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Polaveno, by the little church of Santa Maria del Giogo, and take on the sharp crests leading to Punta Almana, in the heart of the Brescia pre-Alps. The route is not difficult, but the constant ups and downs add up and ask for decent fitness. We pass Monte Rodondone and along the whole crest Lake Iseo stays below: Punta Almana is not famous for being easy, but it repays you at every step.
5 reasons to come - the sharp crests leading to Punta Almana - Lake Iseo below you the whole way - the little church of Santa Maria del Giogo at the start - Monte Rodondone along the route - a summit you earn rather than simply reach
