WHY THIS CLIMB

First climb at Lantana

Ever looked at a rock face and wondered what it would be like to climb it? This is the day to find out. At Lantana, above Dorga and Bratto, there is a limestone crag with routes made for beginners, the Presolana as a backdrop and the sun arriving mid-morning and staying until evening.

Group chat a couple of days before
Come alone, leave with new friends

The experience

We meet at 10 and five minutes along a path we are at the foot of the wall. We start with the basics: how to put on a harness, the knots that really matter, how the rope works and how to climb with your feet more than your arms.

Then we climb, always on a top rope, on routes of growing difficulty. Lunch in the sun at the foot of the crag and back on the rock in the afternoon, until your arms say enough.

Helmet and harness are included. Wear comfortable sports clothing, bring a warm layer for the shady moments and a packed lunch. The group is small, 8 Guidders at most, and car pooling is arranged in the Telegram group.

Castione della Presolana is an hour from Bergamo and an hour and three quarters from Milan, up Val Seriana to Clusone and then towards the Passo della Presolana. We meet at Lantana, above Dorga, on the road that climbs towards Monte Pora.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Andrea, a mountain guide. The mountains became my passion first and my life afterwards. I don't believe there's only one way to live the high places: for me it means altitude, ski mountaineering, climbing — being in it all round, never settling for a single discipline. What I enjoy most is moving between them according to the season and the conditions, and taking along anyone who fancies a mountain different from the one they already know. Come with me and the goal is one: to let you live the mountains all round, the way I live them, with real passion. See you in the mountains, Guidders!
