Pizzo Tre Signori from Pescegallo: A loop trail through Santa Rita, Falk, and the stunning Laghi d'Inferno (Inferno Lakes).
Pizzo Tre Signori from Pescegallo
A great Orobie classic, in its full version.
The experience
We set off with the Guidders from Pescegallo and climb to the Passo Salmurano, then by way of the Bocchetta di Trona and the Bocchetta dell'Inferno we reach the summit of Pizzo dei Tre Signori, often in the company of ibex, with views running from the Grigne to the Adamello. From the top a fine traverse leads to Rifugio Santa Rita, then we cross the wild Val Varrone to Rifugio Falc. The return skirts Lago d'Inferno and Lago di Trona.
5 reasons to come - the summit of Pizzo dei Tre Signori - the ibex, frequently seen up here - two huts along the route, Santa Rita and Falc - Lago d'Inferno and Lago di Trona on the way back - a complete loop that never repeats itself
Who it suits A long circuit with several climbs and high sections: good fitness and a sure step are needed.
The Orobie classic, done properly: come with the Guidders.
