Meeting point 9:30approximate
Via Aldo Moro 2, 16015 Casella città metropolitana di Genova, Italia. The exact time is confirmed in the group chat. We usually meet a little earlier for breakfast together, when possible.
HOW TO GET THERE
09:30MEETING
Casella (GE)
Meeting point: car park of the Forti di Genova-Casella railway (corner of the Palazzetto dello Sport) in Casella (GE).
10:00PARKING
Carsi
We begin our trek towards the nativity village of Pentema - Val Brevenna - along the old mule track which, passing the Ballo della Gallina and a few ancient Celtic houses, will lead us to the charming hamlet.
12:00CHURCH
Pentema
Something very special awaits us in Pentema: during the Christmas season the streets and houses come alive with life-size figures representing the customs, traditions, settings and trades of days gone by.
12:30HIDDEN POINT
Visit to the Pentema nativity scene
We'll take a longer lunch break than usual, so we can calmly visit the life-size museum that, in this charming atmosphere, turns the village into a huge "living" nativity scene. Over 40 nativity scenes, which take more than an hour to see.
16:00RETURN
Carsi
Once the visit to the nativity scene is over, we'll set off again to head back to Carsi. Once at the car park, we'll get back in our cars and drive down to Casella to head home. The times in the schedule are indicative - except for the meeting time - the actual timing will depend on the pace of the group and the number of stops made during the hike.

How do you get to Casella? By carpooling.

You say so when booking, then you get organised in the Telegram group. Contacts and costs are agreed between you: a seat isn't guaranteed.

Hi Guidders! 🧡 I'm Giorgia, an environmental hiking guide: raised among trails, and glad I never stopped. I've lived the mountains since I was a child, and since 2019 I've turned that passion into a full-time job. I guide adults and children along the trails of the Apennines, the Alps and around Europe, with a constant appetite for discovering, learning and sharing. I'm never still: I study, read, write, fly a drone, raise butterflies and raise small muddy explorers through Adventure Education projects. And yes, I'm happy: this is the life I dreamed of, and there's nothing in the world I'd rather do "when I grow up". 🦋🥾 See you in the mountains, Guidders!
