Piani Resinelli Among the Beeches

Trekking semplice alla scoperta del Parco Valentino ai Piani Resinelli e della piattaforma panoramica sul Lago di Como. La guida ti farà scoprire questo altipiano ricco di storia, natura e tradizione. La passeggiata inizierà di fronte alla storica chiesetta al centro dei Piani Resinelli dove, dopo una breve introduzione, continuerà in direzione Parco Valentino: un percorso nel bosco che ti regalerà degli scorci mozzafiato sulla Valsassina e sulla Grignetta, la montagna simbolo del lecchese. Qui la guida fornirà interessanti spiegazioni naturalistiche. Il sentiero sbucherà ad un tratto dal bosco aprendosi su di una vista da far perdere il fiato: vedrai il lago dall'alto, i tetti colorati dei paesini lacustri, i laghi della Brianza e le alte cime circostanti. Ci incammineremo anche sul vicino Monte Coltignone da cui è possibile vedere addirittura la città di Lecco dall'alto. Ritorneremo indietro sempre attraversando il Parco Valentino. Al termine della gita la guida vi fornirà informazioni su dove pranzare o su dove acquistare prodotti locali.

HOW TO GET THERE

Piazza della Chiesa at Piani Resinelli
Near the meeting point in front of the church there are several paid car parks. We recommend arriving a few minutes before departure time to make sure you find a parking spot.
10:00PARKING
Start of the Parco Valentino trail
To reach the start of the Parco Valentino trail, we'll walk along a stretch of paved road for about 10 minutes. The trail will then be entirely on packed earth, wide and gently uphill.
10:30HISTORY
Casa Museo Villa Gerosa
We pass in front of the house-museum surrounded by green beech woods, from here you can admire Monte Grignetta. The trail remains easy, on packed earth and with a gentle slope.
11:00VIEWPOINT
Piani Resinelli Belvedere Platform - 1377 m
About 1 hour after setting off, we finally arrive at the Belvedere, where, from a panoramic platform, you can admire the view straight down onto the lake. We'll stop here to rest and enjoy the view for about 15 minutes.
11:30SUMMIT
View from Monte Coltignone - 1450 m
The trail to Monte Coltignone is slightly more demanding but still easy. There are stones and roots along the way. After about 30 minutes of ups and downs, you'll be rewarded with another breathtaking view.
12:30RETURN
End of the route
We'll head back to the start of Parco Valentino along a trail parallel to the outbound one - of equal difficulty - which we'll cross again shortly before the final stop. Here the guide will say goodbye and give you tips on where to have lunch.
