Panorama in Val dei Ratti: Bivacco Primalpia
Primalpia Bivouac in Val dei Ratti
An inhabited valley that no road reaches.
The experience
The Valle dei Ratti is a remote corner of the Alps: one of the few inhabited places you cannot reach by car, only on foot. We set off with the Guidders from Verceia, crossing the imposing Moledana dam, which beyond its hydroelectric role offers a spectacular view. Past the dam we enter a world of characteristic barns, climbing to Rifugio Frasnedo and then to the Bivacco Primalpia, at the head of the valley.
