WILD NORWAY: LOFOTEN ISLANDS, WHALES, AND EPIC TREKKING – 9-DAY FLY & DRIVE
Lofoten fly & drive: whales, sea eagles and Norway's finest hikes
Nine days on the road through islands where the mountains dive into the ocean. From Oslo you fly to Evenes and drive to Andenes to head out to sea in search of whales. Then the Lofoten: Festvågtind with its 360° view over Henningsvær, a RIB through the Trollfjord among sea eagles, the 2,000 steps of Reinebringen, the wild beach of Kvalvika and the Ryten balcony. In between, the villages: Nusfjord, Eggum, Utakleiv, Ramberg, Hamnøy, Reine and Å, the village with the shortest name in the world.
Is this trip for me?
Five vibes, an effort level and a type of trip: so you can tell in ten seconds if it's for you.
You sleep in rorbu, the red fishermen's cabins, and in a hotel in Oslo. Three hikes of 450–550 m ascent, 3–5 hours of walking: for people used to mountain walking, nothing technical. In September, with a bit of luck, the Northern Lights.
