Description
You step out of the woods and Lake Garda opens in front of you.
We set off with the Guidders from Toscolano Maderno and climb at a steady pace towards Monte Pizzocolo. The climb takes you slowly, metre by metre, then the woodland ends and suddenly there is Lake Garda: immense, bright, almost unreal. That is when you understand why you set off. The final panoramic stretch leads to the summit, and on the way down we stop at Rifugio Pirlo for lunch.
