The experience

Monte Sodadura is one of the most iconic summits in the Lecco Orobie: a perfect pyramid commanding the Piani di Artavaggio and the whole Valsassina. Here we reach it with the Guidders without the cable car, starting from the valley floor: a full mountain day. We set off from Moggio, the path drops straight into the woods and climbs hard towards the plateau, then crosses pastures and panoramic ridges to the summit. At Rifugio Nicola we stop, on the way up and on the way back.
